Grade Expectations


5th Grade
Over the course of the year the 5th grade will learn Basic American History Ranging
from the Exploration of the American Colonies until the Vietnam War. Students will have
a combination of book assignments, project
Grading: Test 30%  Homework 50% Project/Quizzes 20%

6th Grade
The 6th grade this year will be learning about each of the seven continents and the
major countries a part of that continent. Students will have a combination of book
packets, projects, quizzes, and test
Grading: Test 50% Homework 30% Project/Quizzes 20%

7th Grade
The 7th grade this year will be using the Houghton Mifflin Textbook “A More Perfect
Union.” Over the course of the school year students will learn about American History
from the birth of the American colonies right up to the start of the American Civil War.
Students will have a combination of book assignments, project
Grading: Test 50% Homework 30% Project/Quizzes 20%

8th Grade
The 8th grade this year will be using the Houghton Mifflin Textbook “A More Perfect
Union.” Over the course of the school year students will learn about American History
from the start of the Civil War until Present Day. Students will have a combination of
book assignments, project
Grading: Test 50% Homework 30% Project/Quizzes 20%
